Meghan Markle is steering her own ship.
According to royal expert Jennie Bond, the Duchess of Sussex’s more frequent Instagram updates are a way for her to hone her own narrative.
“I suppose this is another example of Meghan taking control of her own publicity, and there’s nothing wrong with that,” the commentator told The Mirror.
“It feeds into her business plans and her brand,” Bond noted.
In celebration of their eighth wedding anniversary, Meghan shared multiple never-before-seen pictures from her and Prince Harry‘s big day on May 19, 2018.
Throughout the numerous snaps in the two updates, there weren’t any shots of the pair with the royal family.
“I don’t think we should draw any conclusions about the state of their relationship from the fact that they are not included in the pictures,” Bond said.
While the lack of photos of the family might not be telling, journalist Rob Shuter claimed Meghan and Harry didn’t receive any messages from their relatives across the pond for the major milestone.
“The silence was very intentional,” an insider told the reporter’s Naughty But Nice Substack.
“There was no phone call, no private message, no peace offering — absolutely nothing,” the source claimed.
Despite any drama with The Firm, body language expert Darren Stanton pointed out how happy the duo looked in the newly released snaps.

“Harry was totally elated on the day. The close-up of him hugging someone shows just pure joy,” the specialist said while speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino.
“They were clearly besotted with each other and operating in their own little bubble. Meghan, in particular, consistently in these shots seems overwhelmed with love and joy,” the commentator remarked.
