Disney Lorcana is celebrating the upcoming release of Toy Story 5 with a brand-new promotional Buzz Lightyear trading card that will be available for a limited time at theaters, game stores, and special events around the world.
Exclusive Toy Story 5 Buzz Lightyear Lorcana Card
The collectible card features Buzz Lightyear in his classic Space Ranger suit sprinting through a colorful outdoor environment while several other Buzz figures appear in the background. The artwork showcases Buzz mid-action with his wings deployed as dust kicks up behind him.
The card is titled “Buzz Lightyear – Space Ranger” and is part of the Emerald ink category in Disney Lorcana. The character card has a cost of 2, with strength and willpower values both listed at 3.
The foil promo version is based on the standard Buzz Lightyear card from the recently released “Wilds Unknown” set, though this special edition includes a shimmering finish designed specifically for the Toy Story 5 promotion.
The artwork for the card was created by artist Max Grecke. The flavor text printed on the card reads, “Environment appears habitable, but the flora seems to have undergone some strange mutations. Could be Zurg’s influence.”
Disney Lorcana fans in North America will have several ways to obtain the exclusive promo card. Guests attending Toy Story 5 screenings in Dolby Cinema at participating AMC theaters from June 18 through June 29 can receive the card while supplies last.
Select Ravensburger Play Hub game stores across the United States and Canada will also distribute the promo card during special Pack Rush events taking place from June 19 through June 21. Guests who purchase two “Wilds Unknown” booster packs and participate in at least one Pack Rush game will qualify to receive the card while supplies last.
The promotion will also expand internationally through participating theaters, hobby shops, tournaments, demos, and retail activations throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Disney Lorcana has continued growing rapidly since its debut, with the trading card game becoming especially popular among both Disney fans and longtime collectible card game players. The addition of Pixar characters in “Wilds Unknown” marked one of the game’s biggest expansions yet.
Last month, Disney also shared a first look at several Pixar-themed Enchanted cards coming to the “Wilds Unknown” set, including cards inspired by Toy Story, The Incredibles, and more. The expansion introduced Pixar characters alongside new locations and updated card artwork styles.
