Jeff Bezos Reacts After Blue Origin Rocket Explodes on Launchpad | E! News

Jeff Bezos, founder of Blue Origin, spoke out after his company’s New Glenn rocket went up in a billow of smoke and flames during an engine test in Florida. “All personnel are accounted for and safe,” Bezos wrote in a statement on X an hour after the explosion. “It’s too early to know the root cause but we’re already working to find it. Very rough day, but we’ll rebuild whatever needs rebuilding and get back to flying. It’s worth it.” The 320-foot vessel was undergoing a hot fire test—in which the rocket’s engine is ignited and fired at full thrust to test its performance ahead of launch day—at 9 p.m. local time in Cape Canaveral, Fla., when it exploded into a massive billow of fire and smoke.
