Taylor Swift DROPS ‘Toy Story 5’ Song w/ Adorable Throwback Video
Taylor Swift’s latest single has dropped! On Friday, June 5, the Grammy winner released her new original song, titled “I Knew It, I Knew You,” for the upcoming “Toy Story” movie, which debuts in theaters June 19. In an Instagram post, the pop star uploaded an adorable throwback video of herself when she was child dressed in a cowgirl outfit as she reflected on the process of creating the track for the beloved franchise. “Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once. And being a @toystory kid from the age of 5 til now… is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond,” Swift began. She went on to thank “Toy Story” co-writer Andrew Stanton as well as singer-songwriter Randy Newman, who has scored all the installments, before giving a shout out to producer and “pal” Jack Antonoff, with whom she collaborated on the single with. “We wrote this with so much adoration for these characters that made us laugh and helped us learn lessons and think outside the backyard all throughout our childhoods. “I Knew It, I Knew You” from Toy Story 5 is out everywhere now.”
