This is sad. A lung transplant is her best option but it’s not a good one. I feel for her family.

A transplant for what? Common sense?? But in all seriousness, her condition is unfortunate… I’m just afraid that she will not receive as much warm sympathy as she perhaps might have if it weren’t for her unsavory past choices and associations.

    3. I imagine that the stress of dealing with her entitled rapist son – along with the messes regarding her friendship with Epstein – has not helped her health situation.

I wonder if Marius feels any remorse at all , if not for his victims, at least for his rôle in adding to his mother’s stress when she was already so sick.

Whatever happens or why they choose to announce this now, when her eldest son will get his sentence soon (and he’s hoping to be able to do the sentence at home with an ankle monitor – he will probably claim that he needs to be close to Mom), Mette Marit will not be able to function fully as Queen in the future.

The first years after a transplant, the patient is very vulnerable to infections and cannot meet and greet a lot of people.

Her role as Queen will be very limited until she passes, perhaps some 20 years from now. It’s sad, but it raises the question about Prince Sverre Magnus who so far, has not done military service or studied on a higher level or even worked since he left school. Is he going to be allowed to let his life turn into a whole bunch of nothing like his older brother, or will he be pushed to actually do something with his life?

Ingrid Alexandra must finish her studies and that leaves Haakon as basically the only working royal in Norway since his parents are ill and elderly.

You have to be at end stage lung disease to be put on the transplant waiting list.

She will have to have her blood taken every month to match with potential donors.

The wait can be long or it can be short.

It will depend if the donor is suitable and if there is more than recipient who is sickest will get the lungs.

Here in Australia everyone has the same right to donated organs.

It doesn’t matter how rich you are if you’re not suitable for the organ you won’t get it!

And no one can jump the queue!

Having a transplant isn’t easy! So much can go wrong!

People have died in the operating bed!

      Nothing is a given!

I always thought Mette-Marit wasnt good enough for Haakon but I gave her a chance and was impressed by her.

Then to hear how she covered up what her son did and the final straw was her “friendship” 🤮 with that disgusting pos I shall not name!

She was flirting with him 🤮

I don’t wish her ill, and I hope she can get her transplant asap and go live quietly somewhere.

Once she has her transplant she should slip away quietly!

Hope she’s last on the list….
There must be more deserving people than pedo enablers

I know someone who had two lung transplants. Neither of them lasted more than a few years.

Wasn’t she a smoker? I can’t imagine that helping her condition, I know her friend Jeffrey was trying to get her to quit

    9. I feel sad for Ingrid and Sverre Magnus. They are way too young to loose their mom.

Years of smoking and hard drug abuse will always take its toll from the body.

Organ failure SUCKS. My god it sucks. It’s like the slowest car crash in history, every single day you’re getting crushed to death.

And I’m not able to describe to anybody what it feels like to have the dying process halted and then reversed *in a single day.* It’s utterly indescribable. In fact, its a miracle.

She’s done some awful things & hasn’t lived her life right. But I can’t begrudge her the chance that I was fortunate to have. It’s pretty uncomfortable to be on the other side of this and hearing some cheering on organ rejection and wanting her to die.

I was curious how this works in Norway, and it looks like Scandinavian countries share a lung transplant list that’s estimated to have 20-30 patients on it at any given time.

When lungs become available in those countries, patients are matched based on donor compatibility and patient severity and likelihood of survival (so not just who’s first on the list or whatever).

Surgery would probably happen in Oslo, as it’s got the only hospital that even can.

Given her age and diagnosis, it seems like she’s probably as good a candidate for this type of transplant as anyone needing it could be, and this is all inline with normal progression as well.

Why does it feel like the world is mad and demanding justice at everybody else involved around the world, except American men.

Some of the comments on here are so brutal and disgusting!

People are wishing death on a fellow human being!

When did the world become like this!

Her involvement with that pos who I won’t name and all that she did with her son is shocking and putrid, but wishing death on her!

I wish her a successful transplant and that she will quietly slip away to live her life in the country side!

She really should just step away now.
