      I switched to Kimmel.

He’s opening monologue is ok. Nowhere near as funny and as witty as Colbert. I will stay with him but honestly, his guests kinda suck too lol

      I will miss Colbert.

CBS can suck it. All this because Colbert called out their bribe to the president. Which was true.

    2. Apparently the only way to make money in network television is to get out of network television.

CBS is a stupid fucking network .
      Big brother sucks ass .
      The talk sucks ass
      Everything from CBS is Garbage.

The only time I will watch anything cbs or paramount is the scream franchise.
Anything other than that can suck my dick

That comedy show is the worst thing I’ve ever seen. Shockingly unfunny. It’s like a weird comedy infomercial. Something that’s supposed to play on a loop on Best Buy demo televisions on mute. I seriously don’t know who the audience is. It makes no sense.

“Under a unique “time buy” deal with the network, Allen bought the coveted 11:35 p.m. time slot from CBS but covers all production costs for his comedy panel show and, in turn, gains the right to sell advertising himself. That means that it’s Allen, not CBS, that is directly affected by poor ratings.

“We’re proud to partner with Byron Allen on a new business and programming model for late night that proactively addresses a network daypart that was cost-prohibitive to continue,” CBS previously said in the statement. “With this ‘time buy’ model, we have shifted an hour that was losing roughly $40 million annually to $15 million in profit—a $55 million swing.””

How is this a reality check for CBS? It sounds like it’s going exactly as planned, which is to stop losing money. According to the article’s own reporting it’s Allen that may be losing money not CBS.

Everybody needs to continue going out of their ways to make points against CBS fuck them, tell your family in ways, CBS is Garbage.

I wish all the top talent like Colbert would all come together and start their own fucking network. It’s not that complicated.

They’re suckling at the teat of power now and dont mind temporarily losing a little money

    10. I mean, fuck Bari Weiss forever and always, but Allen is paying CBS. CBS is making money from it.

The product is crap, nobody’s watching, but CBS is making money because they’re not spending money.

Really, as much as I love Colbert, the dismantling of CBS Radio and 60 Minutes is exponentially more devastating.

Colbert should start doing the Colbert report again.

      Release it online.

They don’t care. Bezos didn’t buy the wapo to make it better and profitable, Elon didn’t buy twitter to make it better and make money, Ellisons didn’t cbs for the same reason.

They want to control speech and discourse. They want to censor.

I’ve banned CBS from my household. Edit: I’m a household of 1.

    14. turb0_encapsulator on

the losses CBS takes are just the cost of directly accessing America’s treasury through political favoritism.

    15. HarryBalsagna1776 on

They don’t care.  The Ellisons sniped a popular political dissident.

    16. When a financial empire with major government revenue buys a media property, it’s not for the advertising revenue. The loss on the media property is likely far outweighed by the gain in influence in government which, while may not directly cause revenue, is strongly correlated with it. And it’s probably cheaper than the lobbying budget to produce the same outcome.

      Also, ego.

Neither of these are new plays. Especially not for the military-industrial complex.

    17. Censored Broadcasting Service.

“They’re lying,” Letterman said. “Let me just add one other thing. They’re lying weasels.”

This is what they do to journalism. Buy it, ruin it.

See Twitter, The Washington Post, CBS news, 60 Minutes.

I may be naive, but whoever runs on fixing the corruption we’ve allowed to blossom in the US over the past 30 years should be our next president.

We can’t fix anything else without fixing this first.

      – no stock trading by government officials
      – stack the court to fix citizens United
      – everyone who has bribed their way to greater wealth should be investigated and prosecuted for any minor infraction. And anyone who does business with those people should be audited.
      – break up media monopolies
      – force social media to take responsibility for feeding people extremist garbage.

Put that on your platform, and short of straight up crazy other policies and you’ve got my vote.
