      As if cancer is traumatizing enough imagine then having to deal with that being your husband’s reaction, rather than him being supportive.

      I remember reading some crazy statistic about the % of women’s whose partner leaves them after a cancer diagnosis and remember being shocked.

      [Edit here it is from the National Institute of Health](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19645027/): When a woman is diagnosed with cancer, the divorce or separation rate is approximately 20.8%, compared to just 2.9% for men. This means that when a serious illness strikes, a woman’s risk of being abandoned by her partner is roughly six to seven times higher than a man’s.

      ^ absolutely no words for how disgusting this is.

      Men really do hate women, don’t they? A man who picks his own sexual gratification over the life of his wife is really not worth being married to.

      He was done with her? I thought for sure it’s that she wouldn’t want him anymore after that reaction!

      The whole story is very wild. She has these tumours, one of which is larger than her breast, and the doctor is sure it’s cancer, but she’s sure it isn’t, but she decides on a bilateral mastectomy in case it is. Her husband leaves her over this. Fortunately it turns out that it isn’t, so she has the rumours removed, but during the following reconstructive surgery, her surgeon gives her larger implants than she had consented to. A couple of years earlier she also suffered a ruptured vertebral artery, from which she only had 1% chance of surviving and while being sick, she said that people took advantage of her, making her lose 18 million dollars. 

      That’s a lot of very extreme and horrifying things to have happen to a person in the span of ~3 years.
