MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Some of Wisconsin’s biggest sports names traded stadium lights for the fairways Saturday at TPC Wisconsin, taking part in the annual celebrity foursome hosted by PGA legend Andy North.

Packers greats Donald Driver and Jordy Nelson teamed up for a nine-hole exhibition against North and Wisconsin Badgers standout Caroline Harvey in a matchup, benefiting the American Family Children’s Hospital and other charities that contribute to healthy families and strong communities.

The day, proving to be less about the scorecard, and more about enjoying the moment.

“It’s just fun,” Driver said. “I think that’s the No. 1 goal. I never wanted to play golf serious. I just go out there and play, have a great time. When you’re playing the game of football, that’s kind of what you do, you just have fun.”

That mindset didn’t translate to a win on the course, however, as Harvey and North finished on top in the nine-hole round.

The win, marking another successful year for the event, both competitively and for the cause.

“We’ve been really fortunate. We’ve had superstars after superstars here,” North said. “To get Caroline, Donald and Jordy here again this year is really special.”

The day also drew out American Family Insurance brand ambassador and Packers quarterback Jordan Love, who said events like these let athletes make an impact beyond the field.

“If you are blessed enough to have the opportunity to give back in your community, it makes a big impact, especially on kids,” Love said. “That’s what it’s all about for Am Fam. To be able to dream fearlessly and pass that message along to the younger generation that really anything is possible.”

Harvey and North’s victory also meant a $25,000 donation to the American Family Children’s Hospital in their name.

A fitting way to wrap up Day 2 of a tournament benefitting a great case.
