The royal family needed a happy occasion, and they found it in the form of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling’s royal wedding.
At the June 6 event, the Princess of Walesaced wedding guest style, wearing a tonal Roland Mouret bouclé dress and a new hat by Jane Taylor London, carrying a Forever New woven clutch, and completing her look with Rupert Sanderson heels, per the fashion site What Kate Wore.

The future queen’s jewelry on Saturday is also notable—namely her heirloom three-strand pearl bracelet, which once belonged to Princess Diana. Kate also pulled the piece out for a Buckingham Palace garden party in May, and it was designed by Nigel Milne and his wife, Cherry. Diana famously wore the bracelet during a 1989 tour of Hong Kong, which she paired with her famous “Elvis” dress and jacket by favorite designer Catherine Walker. After Diana’s death in 1997, Prince William inherited the piece, which he later gave to his wife.

Pearls have become a staple in Kate’s jewelry wardrobe recently. Maybe because of the stone’s elegance, and possibly because it is the birthstone of the Prince of Wales, but the royally approved pearl jewelry is also strongly associated with healing—which Kate has spoken about frequently after her cancer diagnosis in 2024. In January 2025, the Princess of Wales announced she is in remission. Tatler reported that pearls are also associated with “inner peace, purity, and feminine energy.”
Kate also wore a pair of drop morganite earrings by her go-to jewelry designer Kiki McDonough, Tatler reported. Romantically, the princess first wore the pair to her younger sister Pippa Middleton’s 2017 wedding to James Matthews.

According to What Kate Wore, the princess also wore a never-before-seen necklace to the royal wedding, which the site pointed out has similarities with another Kiki McDonough piece—the brand’s Grace necklace, with a round-cut white topaz gemstone surrounded by a diamond halo.
