I truly could not care less about another live action adaptation of a cartoon on netflix.

Cartoons are not a medium that you can just whisk into live action and I have yet to see them do a good job with any of them

cute dog but i’m not sure if that’s how i picture Scooby?

also who wants to bet money on Scooby getting the iconic SD dogtag in the season finale

    3. I don’t know why ppl are clowning on this. Isn’t this just a Great Dane puppy??

Yea man idk how anyone is surprised they went with a puppy for this. The show is literally called “Scooby Doo: Origins” you really think they’re gonna have a fully grown Scooby when literally all the other characters aren’t even adults yet???

eta: it’s also clearly a Great Dane puppy which is what Scooby is so I’m even more confused why people are surprised

this is very sad because it means at some point they will crop his ears 😔

he doesn’t look like a full grown great dane because he’s not one yet. It’s in the name Origins. This is just a widdle pubby 😭

Real life great dane puppy for reference. ~~My only gripe is I sorta hate CGI animals and I don’t think they ever look totally right. This one is decent but it still feels a little uncanny~~

Edit: that’s a real ass dog oops. I don’t trust anything I see these days, in my defense. Pretty cool that they got a real dog for this!

    7. They want to save money on cgi. He will prob show up for a few minutes every episode

    8. Can’t believe most of the comments aren’t simply going on about how adorable that puppy is.

I’d die for you, Scooby ❤️

I like that they’re going with the floppy, uncropped ears! What a cutie pie.

Damn, looking at that sweet puppy I can tell scooby’s gonna have a sad backstory. We’re about to find out why he self medicates.
I do wish they would’ve chosen a reddish brown puppy. Or whatever the color of those Great Danes are called.

I have it on good authority that Paul Walter Hauser will be playing Scrappy Doo in a post-credit scene. It’s not mo-cap.

    12. Missed opportunity by not calling the show “A pup named Scooby Doo”. Origins sounds so mature, makes me think of Batman or Dexter. Adorable puppy though!

Is he gonna talk in this? Because that’s a big part of the appeal

Gorgeous puppy. If you are considering getting a puppy or dog consider helping the dogs on kill lists in Texas and California! dm and I’ll share resources for you to transport and adopt out of state. So many sweet dogs need homes.
