      I’ve got 7” heels. They’re not any worse to walk in than my 3.5” heels because there’s so much platform.

      Edited to add, because I think there’s some confusion: I don’t particularly love walking in ANY heels, but the height itself matters less (for me) than the actual shoe construction. The platform can provide a sturdier base than a lower shoe and be easier for me to walk in.

      I always assumed wearing these took a lot of practice to make the walk look natural.

      Those are hard ballet slippers and quite frankly, look stupid to me.

      Guess that’s why I will never be in high fashion – my clothing needs function over all.

      I think the model refusal aspect is a myth to draw eyeballs. These models notoriously are competitive and would cut off their feet entirely to walk these stages.

      In the documentary called McQueen, you learn that McQueen “joked” to a friend about this show, saying he would plan to kill himself in front of everyone at the end of it.

      This would indeed be McQueen’s last show.

      Oh mannn seeing Magdalena’s face brought back so many memories!! i’ve met her, Jaclyn Jablonski, Coco Rocha among others waay back in 2010~ish. But on the topic, um.. i’ve always wondered, did any actual person ever wear those shoes??
