He’s an excellent journalist and embodies the highest ideals of such a noble profession.
      He does not deserve this.

Pelley is fighting against all sides for free press democracy, including against his own boss, Bari Weiss. He has more integrity and ethical standards than all of his assailants combined and I sure hope more people stand up to protect him.

    3. We need good journalism to expose all the shit going down. There is so much slipping through the cracks. It is going to take at least a decade to unwind it all.

We had a chance to hold corporate news to a higher standard and blew it. Now we know the danger of taking the free press for granted.

    5. Holding truth to power is key to democracy. Bob Woodward said it best, “ Democracy dies in darkness”

    6. Bari Weiss tried to get 60 Minutes correspondent to lie and make anti-ICE protestors look more violent, including a request to tell viewers that Rene Good tried to run over the agent who killed her

This man has more integrity in his thumb than Trump has in his entire bloated body. F*ck CBS, f*ck Bari Weiss, and f*ck David Ellison and all the other assholes that own Paramount/CBS. I will be boycotting whatever media comes out of that sham of a company. And Scott is right…there is no democracy without brave journalists, the ones who speak truth to power and will not be cow-toed by billionaires and fascists.

It’s as if every news media is now owned by soulless billionaire vampires intent on sucking truth and reality from our shared experience

Democracy absolutely does need journalism. It’s so, so scary how consolidated and right wing most of our major news sources have become in the last decade.
