(WJAR) — It was 18 years ago when there was a battle to bring the life of Vincent “Buddy” Cianci to the big screen.
Two productions were working towards a movie.

One hired Cianci as a consultant, and he had a financial stake in.
Buddy was against the Michael Corrente production, and in the end, neither movie ended up being made.
The “Prince of Providence” based on former PROJO reporter Mike Stanton’s book, did have a successful run as a play at Trinity Rep.
