The Gist

Ashley Judd, 58, took a dip in the ocean while wearing a printed one-piece swimsuit in an Instagram video.

Judd wore the swimsuit while promoting the “We Don’t Care Club” campaign, which supports women experiencing menopause and perimenopause.

The Lazareth star is an outspoken advocate for women’s rights, gender equality, and sexual and reproductive health.

Ashley Judd is living her best life this summer. On June 11, the Lazareth actress wore a plunging one-piece swimsuit in an Instagram video supporting the “We Don’t Care Club,” a social media movement founded by influencer Melani Sanders in 2025 to empower women experiencing perimenopause and menopause.

Judd, who has been open about her experiences post-menopause, used the video to express her IDGAF attitude and encourage her followers to seek out “joy” and “mirth.” The video shows Judd wearing a vibrant blue-and-green rainforest-print swimsuit as she wades through the ocean underneath clear blue skies. The piece, designed by luxury swimwear brand Melissa Odabash, features a golden U-trim halter neck with a tie behind the neck.

During the video, Judd displayed her playful side and scooped up a piece of seaweed from the shallow waters. Encouraging whimsy and imagination, the actress showed the versatility of the plant, referring to it as “salad,” and even using it as an accessory. “You can make it jewelry,” Judd added as she draped the seaweed over her wrist like a bracelet and held it up to her forehead like a headband.

The video is the second installment of a series the activist started on her Instagram in 2025. “Levity! Imagination! Mischief!” Judd captioned her latest Instagram video. “This installment is a healing tonic for a grave condition that often plagues adults and the overly serious: Know-It-All-itis.”

Judd used the remainder of the video to demonstrate what it means to suspend disbelief and tap into unrestricted creative play. Later in the video, she took a moment to fall backward into the water, emerging with a playful shriek before dunking her head in the water once again. “Reality is absurd and spendiforously fantastic,” she continued. “Play should be, too. How will you play today?”

Judd’s 2025 video emits similar mirthful energy. The video features Judd wearing a dark green one-piece swimsuit with two thin straps as she splashes in the ocean and plays with a jellyfish. “If as an adult, I am caught up in what others think of me, I ignore, neglect, & abandon my own tender Self,” Judd captioned the video. “Today, that’s off the table. Into the Sea for me, to splash & play!”
