    1. “Looked like her lifestyle” is a great way to say it and I think that applies to a lot of the old 90s romcoms. My favorite Zellweger romcom is prolly Jerry Maguire, and I think this basically applies there too.

It’s actually making romcoms unwatchable when we see like perfectly manicured and styled girls in architectural digest apartments talking about how they’re broke and a mess. It just ruins the effect and honestly loses charm.

    2. Wasn’t a big plot point of the movie her trying to lose weight because she was so “fat” but she only weighed like 135 pounds?

I watched it for the first time recently and thought it was awful. The humor felt so out of date.

Bridget running around snowy London in her leopard print granny panties will always be a treasured memory.

Fantastic show, I remember thinking the marketing (trailers etc) around it at the time did it dirty, and in combination with a name that alone was enough to put some off if they didn’t know how – deconstructivist (?) it was – was a real shame. I used to recommend it to friends all the time and got so many die-hard converts 😂

And then she messed up her face trying to meet the beauty standard anyway….
