Wow. What a mind fuck
No where does he say his dad worked as a chef at the restaurant. He said his dad lived in the same building as the restaurant.Â
I would’ve loved my reunion with my bio parents to be like that lol

Im adopted. I met my biological mother and her parents (who felt badly for not being able to help raise me as she was young back then). I met our bio moms sister who felt badly for refusing to hold me as a baby because, ‘she (me) will just be gone soon anyway. They all apologized to me.
I never felt upset by any of it, people do whatever they felt they needed to do. And, weirdly, I came away feeling like all of this had nothing to do with me, personally. I just existed as a small infant. All their regrets, sadness and happiness was entirely about them and their situations.

I thought his dad was in the military and would slam the phone down every time shattering the glass in the phone booth and his mom would say, like father, like son.
I wish I had that type of mindset before my father died because I did not take that high road with him… Now I’ll have to live with that regret for the rest of my life.
