Princess Catherine was an absolute vision in yellow this afternoon, as she made her way to Royal Ascot in Berkshire, England.

The princess and husband Prince William waved to fans from their royal carriage as they made their entrance into the prestigious horse-racing event at Ascot Racecourse. Every year, at least one member of the British royal family attends, and this time, on day two of the tournament, attendees were graced with the presence of the Prince and Princess of Wales. (Royal Ascot 2026 takes place from Tuesday, June 16, to Saturday, June 20.)

The star of Kate’s bold, bright look was a Roksanda midi dress with sharp shoulders and an asymmetric bodice that gathered at the shoulder in a neat, abstract bow. The piece was belted at the waist, and its pleated skirt flowed freely as Kate walked.

The royal loves a monochrome moment, and for this look, she paired her dress with a fantastic Jane Taylor London saucer hat in a matching shade of yellow, adorned with dramatic netting. An elaborate chignon bun sat elegantly below it.

Her go-to beige suede Gianvito Rossi pumps and an ivory Anya Hindmarch clutch with a pearl closure perfectly complemented the vibrant look. As for jewelry, Kate chose pieces with deep history: Queen Elizabeth II’s diamond chandelier earrings paired with a three-strand pearl bracelet that once belonged to Princess Diana.

William, next to Kate, looked dapper in a three-piece suit and top hat—an Ascot tradition for men. The prince accessorized his look with a marigold-yellow boutonnière to subtly coordinate with his wife.

This is Kate’s second yellow look of the week, as the princess debuted a lovely butter-yellow ensemble for the Order of the Garter Service at Windsor Castle on Sunday. It involved a floral-brocade coatdress from Patrick McDowell in the muted tone, and a sharp, wide-brim boater hat also by Jane Taylor London.
