Died of meningitis! Dang. RIP.

No idea how she contracted it, but folks get your children vaccinated for meningitis when they are younger and especially before they go off to University. Very sad.

This is horrible. Daveigh was also one of the best things about Donnie Darko. Her innocent little “What’s a fuck ass?” line always makes me chuckle. So sad. Aloha Daveigh.
Damn she ruled child acting and voice acting in the aughts. I still see and hear her a lot in my favorite things to rewatch. The little sister in Donnie Darko, Samara from the American The Ring and Chihiro in the English dub of Spirited Away. And I recently started rewatching Big Love and totally forgot that she plays a preteen that marries the prophet.
My favorite role was Rhonda in Big Love.
Incase in the hospital for days with metengitis (viral, not spinal). And it was the sickest Ive ever been, and aim nearly 40 now. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone

RIP. Meningitis is really scary because it starts like a normal cold or flu, but it usually happens so quickly, and a lot of times when you realize it is NOT a cold or flu, it has progressed significantly.
Ugh, so sad. So many child stars end up with tragically short lives. I wouldn’t let my kid anywhere near Hollywood. Peace ✌️ Daveigh
Damn, RIP. Her performance as Samara Morgan scared the absolute shit out of me when I was younger. I was afraid of TVs and phone calls for weeks.
Says she was admitted previously for malnutrition. Sometimes the body just cant take it.

She has had a history of drug use / was supposedly living on the streets for a while now. I am not surprised. Her body definitely would not be able to handle meningitis/was probably weak from years of drug use.
She was brilliant in Big Love.
Incredibly sad; she had struggled with drugs and I hope she found peace before she passed, but at only 35, who woulda thought she was on limited time?
