Gucci’s Cruise 2027 Show Brings Glamour to Times Square
Demna’s first cruise collection for Gucci brought drama and celebrity fanfare to Times Square.
In the heart of Times Square—with celebrities on the runway and front row alike—it was clear Demna knows how to make a scene, and one worthy of remembering as he debuted his first Cruise collection as the newest creative director of the storied fashion house.
Gucci’s Cruise 2027 collection leaned into dark Italian glamour, with models including none other than a cameo from Tom Brady taking to the runway in a full black leather ensemble, while Paris Hilton traded her signature bombshell blonde for dark hair, embracing a full mob wife aesthetic: a loud dress, a big belt, and an even bigger fur coat. Other iconic supermodels joined the lineup—including Cindy Crawford, Candice Swanepoel, and more—making the spectacle feel all the more luxurious.
These oversized, extravagant coats became a recurring theme on the runway—already seeming to signal an affinity for Demna’s vision at Gucci. The collection itself felt inherently Gucci and unapologetic: classic house patterns, recognizable logos, striking color moments, skintight dresses, and bold textures woven throughout. Bigger is better, at least in Demna’s world. Fittingly, the collection itself is quite literally titled GucciCore.
Beyond the theatrics of the clothing, the beauty looks were arguably even more elaborate. Models, including Alex Consani, wore dramatic black, blown-out eyeshadow around the eyes, ranging from dark, smudged circles to exaggerated cat-eye liner, some punctuated by sharp red lips.
