Maggie Rogers exposed a New York Times reporter, who allegedly cheated on her, in front of thousands of fans at Madison Square Garden.

The musician joined Rosalia’s LUX tour concert at the iconic New York City arena on Tuesday night, where she made the shocking revelation about the unnamed two-timer.

“A little while ago, I was single and a friend of mine said, ‘I’ve got someone for you to go on a date with,’” Rogers began.

The 32-year-old then recalled thinking, “Great! They’re single, they’re handsome,” and noted that the mystery man worked for the New York Times.

“So he calls me. And he says, ‘I’ve got a vintage car. Can I come pick you up?’ So I said OK.”

During their date, Rogers said they drove around Manhattan and as they were talking, she began “falling in love a little bit.”

“Suddenly he says, ‘Oh my God. We’re actually really close to the office. Can I take you to the New York Times?’”

Rogers noted that by that point, it was 1 a.m., so the building was empty.

“We go in and he gives me a full empty tour of the building. We make out in the conference room. It’s like a really good time. He drives me home, we make out in the car.”

According to the singer, her date wanted to go up to her apartment, but she declined.

The next morning, she excitedly called her friends to tell them she “found someone” and told them his name. However, one of her friends immediately responded, “Oh my God. That’s my friend’s boyfriend.”

Rogers called him up to confront him about his secret girlfriend and the man’s response was asking to come over to her apartment because he would “really love to talk to [her] about it.”

She shut down his offer and never spoke to him again.

“That’s my story. That’s my confession. I mean, what a loser. You just can’t trust a journalist,” she concluded.

The concert segment quickly went viral with many fans begging the songwriter to name-drop the cheater. Others hoped the guy’s girlfriend saw the clip.

Rogers rose to fame in 2016 when her song “Alaska” was played for artist-in-residence Pharrell Williams during a master class at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.

Since then, she has released three major studio albums and was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2020 Grammys.

Despite her onstage confession, Rogers has kept her dating life out of the spotlight. Her last public relationship was with Del Water Gap frontman Holden Jaffe, whom she dated for five years.
