I started watching the Steven Spielberg miniseries Taken and he’s in it. I believe it came out in β€˜01 or β€˜02.

    2. Already 10 years? I remember seeing the news in high school. Time flies. RIP

    3. Still someone I think about a lot. For both his incredible talent and his frankly bizarre and preventable death.

I honestly thought it was a weird made-up celebrity rumour when I first heard

    5. I literally put my emergency brake on always because of what happened to him.

My mom had the same Jeep model and it went from park to reverse (or what we thought was park) in a lot and the only giveaway was the reverse camera that started beeping as cars drove by on the street behind the lot. Horrifying.

His poor family. And poor Anton, a terrible way to die.

I’m going to watch alpha dog now.

      For one, to honor Anton.

And two, I love any movie where Justin Timberlake goes to jail for the rest of his life.

my dad and I are huge Trekkies and we loved watching the JJ Abrams movies when I was in high school. It was so special that this amazing franchise was still going and my dad could watch me grow up with it just like he did. We were so so sad when Anton Yelchin died, like heartbroken. I remember my dad crying when I told him how he died. I’m crying writing this comment 😒

His death is such a brutal one. Left the car in neutral and it crushed him between itself and his gate. I can only hope it was quick and he didn’t suffer for long.

It really is heartbreaking the way he died. I really wish he never died especially when I really loved him as Chekov in the JJ Abrams Star Trek universe. He’ll never be forgotten and will always be remembered ❀️

he will always be my answer to “which famous person’s death shook you to the core”

    11. 2016? Mandela cuz didn’t he die in 2014??? I specifically remember talking about it in 2014 in my senior civics class with my friends cuz we listened to the news every morning in that class.

    12. Wow, I did not realize him and James Gandolfini died exactly 3 years apart. I think about both of them all the time
