King Charles, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be inching closer to a long-awaited family reunion.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have reportedly been offered a place to stay at a royal estate within Buckingham Palace.
The Sun quoted a source as saying, “He obviously saw his father in September, they speak regularly and there is a hope they will both be able to find time in their schedules to catch up when Harry is in the U.K.”

As they prepare for a possible family trip to the United Kingdom next month, the journey, if it takes place, would mark the first time the Sussex family has visited Britain together in four years. This would be Meghan’s first trip to the U.K. with Harry since their last visit, which took place after Queen Elizabeth II’s death on September 8, 2022.
The upcoming visit is expected to coincide with events related to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.

The reported trip, scheduled for July 6-10, would also mark the one-year countdown to the international sporting event that Harry established for wounded, injured, and sick service members and veterans. The event will support his remaining patronages, including WellChild.
Earlier reports indicated that Harry had been offered accommodations at Buckingham Palace during previous visits to the U.K., but he declined because of security concerns.
The Duke has consistently said he does not feel it is safe to bring his wife and children, especially since leaving royal duties in 2020. He also said it was impossible to bring his family after losing the lengthy High Court battle last year over taxpayer-funded armed bodyguards.

Despite these concerns, the upcoming journey may hold great personal significance for the Sussexes. Harry is said to be enthusiastic about Archie and Lilibet spending time in the U.K., connecting with family, and immersing themselves in their British heritage and culture.
The King has met his youngest grandchild, Lilibet, only once, at his late mother’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022. Additionally, Harry has previously expressed a desire to mend his relationship with his father following his cancer diagnosis.

As plans are being finalized, it remains unclear whether Meghan will attend any official events related to Harry’s visit or whether Archie and Lilibet will make any public appearances. The couple has made a conscious effort to keep their children out of the public eye, sharing only rare glimpses of their family life.
For now, the reported offer of royal accommodation suggests that the possibility of a family visit, which could hold both personal and symbolic significance, remains open.
