In November, Billy’s Bus founder Laura Mohan told the BBC that she thought her “dog bus” was the first of its kind anywhere in the UK.
She took inspiration from an American business called Canine Convoy, and recruited driver Ray Welderend to drive around Leeds and Bradford collecting “pawsengers”.
The bus is then taken on drive-bys to care homes, schools and nurseries to allow people to interact with the dogs.
She had 340 dogs enrolled by the end of 2025 and was considering buying a second vehicle.
The bus has a live video feed so owners can follow their pets’ adventures, which include trips to Outside the Box in Ilkley, a community cafe that support adults with learning disabilities.
Styles’ chat with Forsyth lasted a couple of minutes and he even walked around the stage a bit pretending to pick up pups.
After, she “collapsed to the ground” in excitement.
Forsyth, who says she has been a fan since the One Direction days, added: “To be honest, I don’t know how I managed to keep my composure, especially when I’d say I’m not a people person and that’s why I work with dogs.”
