Focus Features will reportedly release the first trailer for Robert Eggers’ “Werwulf” in just over a week – specifically on the full moon on June 29th.

The news was reportedly revealed by a posting to NBC Store, but the page has subsequently been removed, so it’s not confirmed at this time. Universal has yet to release any official publicity material from the film.

Focus already screened the first trailer for the film at CinemaCon in April for the room only. It’s expected that this release will be a version of that.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe, Ralph Ineson, and Bodhi Rae Breathnach star in the film set in 13th century England with the “Nosferatu,” “The Lighthouse” and “The Witch” director calling it “the darkest thing I’ve ever written. By far.”

He and Sjón co-wrote the film about a mysterious creature who stalks a foggy countryside as local folklore becomes a terrifying reality for the villagers

The film was shot on 35mm film in a 1.37:1 aspect ratio and is scheduled to hit theaters on December 25th.
