ETA: I haven’t found the IPSOS report itself, but did find this rather important caveat in a different commentary:
“Ipsos noted that it changed its polling methodology in June 2025, moving from quota-based telephone surveys to an online random probability panel. The firm cautioned that direct comparisons with earlier polling should therefore be treated carefully.”

1. They don’t really seem to do anything anymore.
2. The UK’s economy is dire, so inherited wealth and privilege and castles and mansions are a harder sell.
3. No royals left with any rizz or historical significance.
4. We are entering a global era of pitchforks for the ultrawelathy. They are not excluded from that.
5. Social media removes the magic they were able to use to maintain their relevance and popularity.

I mean the last six years have been a rather epic disaster for the family (Meghan and Harry leaving and throwing a lot of dirt at the family, The Andrew formerly known as Prince and his continuing shitshow, the death of the Queen and the younger generation not stepping up enough) so I feel this actually shows how incredibly secure the royals are in the UK, that even after all that there is still a solid majority in favor of the monarchy.

This poll is from March when the whole Andrew thing was at its worse. The current poll by YouGov shows that support is back to 64%
