Taika Waititi directs this big-screen adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s 2021 novel, ‘Klara and the Sun,’ in theaters on Oct. 23. Jenna Ortega stars as Klara, an artificial friend/robot, who exists to ease the loneliness of the humans she lives with, Chrissie (Amy Adams) and her daughter, Josie (Mia Tharia).
