      A Texas mother called police after home security cameras showed her 19-year-old babysitter asleep while her one-year-old toddler wandered the house and fell down the stairs.

      The child wasn't seriously injured. The babysitter later requested full payment, and police are investigating.

      asked for full payment ma’am you’re lucky if your legs work well enough to walk home. I’ll be damned if I paid someone to watch MY BABY and she fell asleep on MY COUCH and MY BABY fell down the fucking stairs are you kidding????

      Not to defend the babysitter but she obviously took a nap after layed the baby down plus there's no baby gate on the stairs so it's every ones fault

      OK, first of all why are there no fucking Baby gates on the stairs to begin with there is not one at the bottom of the stairs so it’s pretty safe to assume they’re not at the top of the stairs. In fact a lot of this house looks like it isn’t baby proof for a woman who’s so concerned about her baby that she’s got cameras running throughout the house. Part of this is parental neglect. If you don’t set the parameters in place for your babysitter, you’ve got nobody to blame but yourself. Because honestly, it is fair game for a babysitter to take a nap when they are watching your child especially at night now granted this seems to be during the day, but I assume that this child was probably taking a nap upstairs potentially was put in her crib meaning that the child managed to climb out of the crib if it’s managed to get this far on the stairs, so why are there no gates? Why are there no baby proofing why are they not locks on the doors that would prevent prevented her from getting out. Where is the actual care and responsibility of this child before the babysitters in place a babysitter doesn’t have to be up your child’s ass it is their responsibility to keep them safe within reason, but if you don’t put in the necessary steps to provide a house of safety you have nobody to blame but yourself and I guarantee you that’s gonna be one of the arguing points if this ever gets to a court law. There were no baby gates. There were no potential safety locks that were used or engage engaged if they were at all active, which anyone who had a child knows that they are passive use meaning that they sit on the door knob and they act as a means of preventing the child to get in without any need to engage them their little plastic candles that go on the outside of doors and if your doors are too fancy for that and then you better get them one that you have to drill into your door that prevents the child from unlatching it. But a lot of this house seems more like it’s concerned about presentation rather than safety. Because here’s the things that could’ve been the mother the only reason it wasn’t the mothers because the mother chose to go back to work.
