A Quick Note – According to the mom when reviewing surveillance, the babysitter went upstairs with the toddler and gave her books and toys thinking that she was going to play with her. However, she soon realized later that it was to distract the baby, thinking she wouldn’t wander around. She states that the nanny went downstairs and “intentionally falls asleep” because she “got so comfy” and “cover[ed] herself with the blanket” She also explains that she has 3 gates which the babysitter could’ve used, but due to the strange layout of the stairs, it’s not the most practical/stable for use, noting “my baby should have never been unattended.”
When my fiance and I decided to have kids. We also decided WE would raise them. Not "pay" strangers to raise our kids. This is just another example as to why.
As a certified Way Too Heavy Sleeper I… Can relate to not waking up until the cops came (thankfully THAT hasn’t happened to me). I have literally slept through heavy duty fire alarms going off right outside my door at boarding school (they were those BIG bell ones), and I can sleep through my alarms (I always set at least 10) like I’m getting PAID for it. Which is why I’d never go to work if I were that tired. And if I absolutely had to, I would be making sure I was getting up whenever I felt tired. I 100% wouldn’t wake up from a baby crying, which… Seeing as how I want kids, I’ll need to look into how deaf parents make do before I do have kids.. But! I don’t think she “has to have been high”. Some of us just sleep through it all.
As a parent the police would have had 2 pull me off her. I don't know how old this girl is, but there ought 2 b some sort of accountability, especially when the baby fell down all those stairs. That's neglect-& anything else they can hit her with.
Thats why don't get a teen babysitter get an Old lady with 10 kids those are the best but i guess those are far and few nowadays future Ain't bright for the little one

I think she was tired but she could Snoose in the same room as the baby . Or try to soothe the baby to sleep. but you never leave a baby alone
