Deserves it. But both are incredible films.
And only a pinch of the funding, too. Obsession had something along the lines of 750k budget – An indy film. Sinners had a 100 mill budget.

Honestly surprised.
Loved Sinners. Obsession… Feels like really great scenes around an otherwise predictable, and sometimes downright contradictory plot.
I still enjoyed Obsession, but it has several marks of someone who’s still figuring it how to make a movie. Fantastic for what it is, but flawed.
Has they just removed the possession scenes obsession would have gotten a lot better. Not to mention Bears hesitation at the end makes no sense.
Ok but, at the end, why does his homie go to his place (where he just told him not to go) just to tell him that something we just saw them both see happen had happened? I dig the movie but that didn’t make sense to me.
