Keanu Reeves is chillingly precise as Marcus Kane, not a warlord or a dictator but something far more dangerous, a calm, emotionless modern operative who studies Rambo’s patterns, anticipates his instincts, and hunts him with the clinical efficiency of a system that has evolved beyond the need for men like Rambo while secretly trying to recreate them. Angelina Jolie brings fierce determination to Maya Draven, the intelligence operative who walks onto Rambo’s ranch not to ask for help but to show him proof that the machine is still alive and who spends the second half of the trailer racing through valley roads with classified evidence that can expose the entire operation if she survives long enough to transmit it.
