    1. Since the POTUS now has a billion dollars from crypto, he should donated to the center and take high road.

      Eh……………who am I kidding?

    2. If he wants his name on it so badly just give them a lot of money. That’s what other rich people do when then want something named after them.

You mean the guy that completely closed the venue for, reasons? Yeah, he’s the problem.

you mean the trump board appointees to the Kennedy center are saying this….

It takes some balls to publicly whine about not being able to sell out as much as you’d like to.

I’m sure the center will now get more people attending events than the Trump250 Birthday festival in front of the Capitol.

Boo fucking hoo, don’t plaster a felons name on an American institution

    8. Ok what’s not being discussed here is where they’re getting this number from. What’s not being talked about is, unlike every other single president since the death of Kennedy, Trump is refusing to fundraise for TKC unless his name is left on the building. No, Trumps name isn’t bringing in the big bucks, it’s just that this man child is having a temper tantrum because he’s being told no.

That’s a lie. It almost certainly would *gain* hundreds of millions if Trump were to disappear.

Trump should donate everything he earned from buying Taser stock, then announcing the $220 million federal ICEhole bid.

IF, and I do say IF the Kennedy Center will lose money by taking down Trumps name then so be it. His name DOES NOT belong on that building. There should be some outhouses available to put his name on.

I’ll give Trump this. He is very good at making outrageous claims, and then pretending like it is you on to disprove him, and not him to prove himself correct.

Such utter BS! The KC board is full of sycophants who know nothing of the arts or how to raise money for the arts.

    14. lifeat24fps on

His name has been on it for months now. Surely the place must be just flush with cash. Let’s see it.

What ! They only care about the money ? Not what Kennedy Center meant before Trump ?

    16. The Kennedy Center had some respect before Trump.

      Then it was *marked*.

      Then it was healed.

But now it’s saying it *needs* the *marking*?

      Trump is a demon.

    17. Howhytzzerr on

So maybe it should close for awhile until Trump is gone, then the board can be replaced and the donations will be returned when the respectability returns.

      >The filing says the bylaws of the Trump Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Foundation require donations be returned if Trump’s name is removed, and it claims some donors were only willing to donate because the center included Trump’s name.

This has the most “Trust me, bro,” energy I have seen in a long time given how many people were pulling out of the Center when Trump’s name was splattered across it.

    19. Joey-WilcoXXX on

Lmao people stopped performing and showing up to the performances because his name was attached. Don’t tell me you didn’t lose that much with that happening

    20. Didn’t they already lost that much money with Trump’s name ON the building?

    21. Shot-Honeydew-306 on

Sure, because attendance was up when Trump took over. Soo popular he had to close it for “repairs.”

    22. TemperatureMany6450 on

The reason way they needed so much in donations is because that dipshit put his name on it. Now that is name is gone, performers might start to come back with bigger crowds.

    23. He’s just mad because he’s lost a grifting money laundering scheme.

And, the “donations” already made have been swiftly deposited off shore.

    24. Arathorn-the-Wise on

Nothing stops the donors from donating the money again. This is a pathetic attempt to try and keep Trump’s name on the building.

    25. computername10 on

More stalling from these clowns. I hope the judge immediately tosses this BS and orders the **immediate** removal of trump’s shame tarp.
