Fox News claimed Trump’s Freedom 250 event, despite the the sparse crowds behind them, had “thousands of people”, but a guitarists sunglasses reflection said otherwise.

Wow, I’d have expected them to AI a big crowd into the reflection. Cropping it seems almost … honest for this Admin?

250th celebration for 250 people. Over the entire run of the fair, including workers, journalists, people watching from home, squirrels, ect…..

It makes sense that these people claimed the election was stolen when you consider that they’re not able to count.

Okay, so whoever wrote the script for the newsreaders either anticipated such crowds, or was told to write that there’d be 1000s, and the newsreaders have just read it because that’s their jobs. At least I’m guessing that’s the problem here. But they shouldn’t have written in so far in advance, or done a quick rewrite before going to air when they realised that, no, there weren’t even 100s of people in attendance. Just made the reporters look dishonest/stupid/both.

It’s worth remembering that reporters are just that – they report what’s been written for them. Some may have gone out and done research, interviewed people themselves; but when they’re sitting at a desk like this, they have papers and a teleprompter, and they read from the teleprompter so that they can be looking at the camera and appear engaged with the ‘audience’, i.e. viewers.

But yeah, no excusing the stuff on social media. Lol.
