    1. Oh no, that’s terrible. I hope she will get the best care and she’ll be cancer free ASAP. One of the journalists I follow went through cancer treatment for their infant, and it was so difficult and upsetting even just as a follower of his. Fuck cancer!!!!

Hopefully it’s one of those pediatric cancers with like a 99% success rate in putting it in remission, that’s so awful.

Fuck cancer! I hope that this sweet little baby will be cancer free ASAP.

    4. Fuck, that’s awful. I know her husband is semi mormon – do they get weird about cancer treatments the same way other religious groups can get?

    5. Got cancer last year and could barely make sense of it, took me a long time to come to peace with it. Can’t imagine what it’s like to see your two yo child go through that without the ability to help them understand. My heart goes out to them

    6. Oh wow, I can’t even imagine how the body of a 2-year-old baby can endure chemo (which she apparently had to have). Hope she pulls through and is okay. Poor Nara and Lucky. You really never know what people go through behind closed doors.

I have never heard of her, but that is awful news and I hope that her daughter can recover.

    8. She’s not anti modern medicine right? I dont know a ton about her, just that shes more trad. I hope baby ends up alright

I absolutely hate Nara Smith but the child is innocent and I am hoping for a successful recovery. Nobody deserves to get cancer especially a child whose life is just beginning

This news is so sad! Being a parent, I truly cannot imagine. Fuck cancer in general but especially children’s cancer

So sad. Fuck cancer. I went and watched her video and she said that this began late last year and she thanks the doctors and nurses for helped them, “get out the other end” of this. I hope this means that things are looking up now!

Seeing what cancer has done to my favorite aunt and my favorite uncle, I hate everything about it. But both of them are over 60.

This happening to a precious toddler is really not something the brain even wants to comprehend. So sad

I once read a doctor was asked why they decided to go into children’s cancer and they said something along the lines of children are so resilient and often make it through. I hope that’s the case for her, this is so tragic and a stark reminder of how fragile life is

That poor baby, two years old is so unbelievably young. My heart breaks for them as a family, this is the kind of news no parent should ever have to process. Cancer in toddlers is rare but it does happen, and treatments for little ones have come a long way in recent years. Sending all the positive thoughts their way and hoping Whimsy responds well to whatever care team they put together.
