Oh thats sad i use it a lot to keep track of shows and movies and i regularily check it for the new seasons release dates. It is a nice app but if they cant sustain it well. Anyone know any show/movie app to keep track of all the shows and movies?

And not even an option to export my things.

Ah fudge. I’ve been using this for ages to keep track of my watching and it has good features. Enjoyed commenting and reading others’ thoughts on episodes π Going to miss it.
This doesn’t give a lot of time to capture the data. Noticed it wasn’t working right last night too π

Not surprising.
I think I’ve been there for 15 years (?) Now. I was there for its heyday. It was really fun. You can tell the user base has been getting smaller and smaller.

For those looking for another tracking tool, in the past I have used Sidereel and IMDB. Now I almost exclusively watch Asian content, so I tracking using MyDramaList.

Oh no π I can track my shows in other ways but I really enjoyed the ability to leave comments. It filled that “watercooler” gap when IMDb discontinued their message boards. I like it much better than, like, discussing shows on Reddit, because when I’m watching an old show, I avoid the sub in order not to get spoiled. Then I can read comments from other people to see what they thought about that episode, without spoilers or “hinting” on what will happen next. Can’t really think of any other places to do that easily anymore.

Been using this for years to track what I’m watching because I watch a lot of TV shows and it was great in remembering what episodes I was up to ππππ welp

For anyone who used it: whatever you move to, request your TVTime data export before July 15 so you don’t lose your history. Go to [gdpr.tvtime.com/gdpr/self-service](http://gdpr.tvtime.com/gdpr/self-service), log in, and request your data (or email [support@tvtime.com](mailto:support@tvtime.com) with the subject “GDPR Data Request”). They send back a file with your shows within a day or two, and once the app goes dark that list is gone for good.
On alternatives, people are landing on a few different ones depending on what they want (a big community vs just tracking). I build a free web tracker myself (https://media-tracker.app/, so grain of salt) that imports the TVTime export in one click if you want your shows to carry straight over, but honestly the main thing worth doing today is grabbing that export while you still can.

for anyone looking into a replacement, check out trakt. it has been the more superior option for years at least now. it has an api available for devs to use so there’s a lot of different apps that are supported to try out. personally, I like television time (different app, unfortunately similar names lol)

Wtf, what about my years of shows tracked on and hundreds of my comments and all the friends that I have on it? It is so so sad π

Not shady but my mom and grandma love this app and will be devastated. It was a great platform to share their opinions on niche tv shows or specific episodes.
Update: I texted this to my mom and her response was βOh my god I canβt breathe. Not my Tv Time.β Sad to see a community for dramatic old ladies be lost.

I literally started using this app last week because of recommendations on one of the pop culture subs. Neat app but Iβm glad i didnβt have enough time to get attached to it π¬

I would recommend **MDBList** ([https://mdblist.com](https://mdblist.com)) as a TV Time alternative. *Full disclosure:* I’m the developer. It supports tracking, watchlists, ratings, Up Next, recommendations, calendars, dynamic lists and powerful discovery features. There’s also an iOS app currently available through TestFlight. Nooooo. I used it to record the episodes I watched since 2017. π© And thereβs not even an export option.
