A mother’s positive affirmation goes a long way, especially when it’s coming from Britney Spears.
The pop star’s sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, made a rare comment about their mother, revealing the advice she gave ahead of their modeling debut during Paris Fashion Week on June 26.
In an interview with Vogue published July 2, the two confirmed they spoke to the “Baby One More Time” singer, 44, ahead of the Vetements Menswear Spring /Summer 2027 fashion show, which she was feeling uneasy about before her sons took to the runway.
“Oh my god, she was so nervous for us,” James told the outlet. “She was just looking out for us and making sure that this was what we wanted to do. She wasn’t there with us, but she sent us flowers to our hotel as a good luck thing, and called and texted us so many times. It was good to have that and to carry that with us before we went out there.”
James said Spears “knew we had it” and advised them to remember, “Yeah, you guys are my sons. You’ve got this.”
Ultimately, the pair nailed the runway. Despite feeling like he was stiff and nervous, James said he is definitely interested in doing another one, adding, “I feel like I could do better, since this was my first fashion show and everything. I could master my walk better.”

While future modeling gigs are up in the air, the brothers said that their priority is pursuing music.
“After being in that environment, I love it so much — seeing how a whole show is put together. But I don’t know if it’s something that I would pursue or not. I don’t know if it’s something that I’m super passionate about, but I know I had a lot of fun doing it,” James said.
“Music is the foundation of everything for me. Jayden and I have done music our whole lives, and we definitely gravitate towards that more than anything else,” Preston said.
At the fashion show, Preston wore a satin blazer overcoat over a button-up shirt and tie, with jeans, while James donned a white tank top, jeans, a leather belt and a dangling chain. James also attended the Dior Cruise Show in Los Angeles on May 13.
They weren’t the only famous children at the Vetements show, as North West, the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Ye (formerly Kanye West), was also present. Other stars who attended were Colombian sensation Maluma and actor Sharon Stone.
Spears shares her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline. In October, Federline published his memoir titled “You Thought You Knew,” which delved into the former couple’s three-year marriage, divorce and custody battle over their children.
