Jon Pardi and Summer Pardi are ending their marriage.
On Friday, July 3, the country singer, 41, and his wife, 37, announced that they will be going their separate ways after five years of marriage. The pair are parents to daughters Presley Fawn, 3, and Sienna Grace, 2.
“After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage,” the pair wrote in a joint Instagram post. “Our daughters will always remain our highest priority and we are committed to moving forward with love and respect as co-parents.”
“Thank you so much for your understanding, support, and respect as we navigate these changes as a family,” they added.

Moments after sharing the news, Jon took to his Instagram Stories to warn his fans that he would be taking “some time away from social media to focus on myself and my family.”

“Thanks to you all for the love and support,” he wrote. “My team will handle posting for the time being. I’ll see you at the shows.”
While the couple’s split comes amid Jon’s Honkytonk Hollywood tour, which is set to conclude in December, Summer was sharing glimpses into everyday life with her kids just minutes before the news broke.
“Someone woke up early. It’s okay, we’re still gonna get after it,” she wrote over a video of one of her daughters playing on the floor of a gym before later going on to show her followers the books she uses for her daily devotionals.
Reps for Summer and Jon did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The former couple met in May 2017 when they were set up on a blind date by Ellen Moxley, a client of Summer’s and a friend of Jon’s mom.
“Within the first five minutes of meeting Jon, it was game over for me,” the hairdresser previously told PEOPLE. “I texted my mom, ‘Sell my house, sell my car, send my dog.’ ”
Two years later, Jon got down on one knee during the Nashville stop of his Heartache Medication tour. They wed the following year at Saddle Woods Farm in Murfreesboro, Tenn., after being forced to change their wedding venue due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Summer was love at first sight for the first time ever in my life,” Jon told PEOPLE at the time. “She was the first girl I’ve ever dated where I felt like she had my back and that we really are a team. Summer is stunningly beautiful to look at, but that doesn’t compare with her heart and how caring she is. We have the most fun together — in any situation — and we laugh constantly.”
