CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WKEF) –Will Ferrell’s new Netflix series is on a promotional tour and stopped in Centerville.
‘The Hawk’ comedy series is stationed at the Centerville High School stadium today, July 3, and tomorrow, July 4, for the Americana Festival and parade.
Centerville City Schools says the stop is thanks to an alumnus from the class of 2009, Jeff Rapoch.
The bus tour will make stops across the East Coast and will feature games, prizes, photo opportunities, and possible appearances from Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, played by Will Ferrell.
Netflix says ‘The Hawk’ is about a “number one golfer who struggles on the back nine of his career to recapture his magic. His body says retire, but his heart says he’s not done yet. His ex-wife and his son Lance, golf’s new golden boy, know he’s through. But with one more major to win to complete golf’s Grand Slam, Lonnie refuses to believe he’s anything other than one stroke away from the greatest comeback in golf history.”
The comedy series releases on July 16.
