A new documentary has examined the impact of unexploded ordinances in the Solomon Islands.
The film titled, The War Below, follows survivors and advocates, as well as those working to clear remnants of war.
More than 80 years on UXOs continue to cause injury and deaths in populated areas once used as battlefields.
“You’re dealing with people who’ve been through alot,” said documentary’s director Tuki Laumea.
“We met Jeff who lost his father and brother, and was severely scarred.”
