The weather in Paris might be scorching right now, but not as red hot as some of the looks we can expect to see strutting down the runway at Couture Fashion Week. Because let’s be honest, this week is as much about the guests as it is the collections.
The streets of the City of Light become a showcase in themselves, with celebrities flocking to the fashion capital to soak up a bit of the action.
Already spotted in the French capital – superstars such as Bad Bunny and Emma Corrin enjoying the Schiaparelli show, and with designers such as Chanel, Elie Saab and Balenciaga on the schedule – we’re in for a very fashionable week.
What is Haute Couture Fashion Week?
Ready-to-wear Fashion Weeks (New York, London, Paris and Milan) showcase collections that fashion fans will be able to get their mitts on when the drops land in store. For Haute Couture – the peices showcased are handmade, avant-garde and designed for a very specific – and fancy – client. Only houses that have been approved by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode can present during this week, and Couture Fashion Week takes place solely in Paris.
