Four years before she became a global superstar as Rachel Green on Friends, a 21-year-old Jennifer Aniston starred in one of the biggest TV disasters of the 1990s! In this rare clip, she plays Jeannie Bueller in the obscure 1990 sitcom adaptation of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
The show was a massive flop and was canceled after just 13 episodes. Fans absolutely hated its bizarre “meta” concept—the TV show claimed the Matthew Broderick movie was entirely fictional, and the TV Ferris even destroyed a cardboard cutout of Broderick with a chainsaw in the first episode! In a funny twist of fate, the original movie version of Jeannie was played by Jennifer Grey, who would later guest star on Friends as Mindy, the former best friend of Aniston’s character, Rachel Green! 📺🚲🎬
