Trump confirms that he called FIFA about Balogun’s red card: “[The referee] made a call that nobody could believe … he’s our best player, or one of our best players. And he gave him a red card. I didn’t know what that meant … yes, I asked for a review by FIFA.”

Imagine the president of the United States personally getting involved in a tournament to score an advantage for his country…

What a baby. Remember the days where world leaders were actually busy with running their country?

Wait till he finds out his mom was on vacation when she gave birth in the US…

They’re standing next to a guy that was Epstein’s close party bro for a decade.

    5. It’s the needless lying that I find so strange. Trump was a varsity soccer player, Barron was apparently a great prospect, he’s spoken openly about being a soccer fan before. His lies contradict one another and seem to do so pointlessly, obviously he knows what a red card means

I’m sure all the Americans who told me to go f*** myself when I said a British reporter first broke this story are going to come and apologise to me, right?

I love the way this implies that red cards are only for less than best players

Who or what is that standing on the far left? The one with the Adam’s apple?

    9. For the first time in my life I’m boycotting the WC and I think it was a really good choice seeing what an absolute corrupt joke this has become.

I know it’s not technically Team USA’s fault this is happening but I do need Belgium to undeniably wipe the floor with them in their next game to make up for this nonsense

No matter what happens now this incredible team has their World Cup experience tainted by this megalomaniac’s arrogant whims. I didn’t agree with the red card but he turns everything he touches to shit…

    13. Everything Trump touches turns to shit. And now his shit stain is all over an otherwise amazing World Cup tournament.

What’s also gross is he will supposedly be at the final handing (or stealing?) the trophy 🏆. Hopefully the NY/NJ crowd give him a chorus of Booooooooo. Again.

This is so not sportsmanlike. Many of other countries that got knocked out of the game and ones that are currently in the game, some of their players have red cards. I think other world leaders might as well call FIFA and get their red cards changed. Screw Trump. He doesn’t even watch soccer.

He wants the US to win so he can ~ask for~ take the trophy/medal awarded to the *winning team.*

Fuck this. The World Cup has been so good for people in the US, like me. To feel the love of sport and country here and across the world.

Now this ass hat had to step in and taint it. Like he always does. I hope Balogun sits out just to make it fair. Win or lose, a call was made. Stick with the call and move on.
