Hunter Biden celebrates his sobriety on July 6th, 2026, saying: “Seven years clean and sober.

Not a victory lap. Just a fact.

To anyone in the fight right now: it gets quieter. Not easier. Quieter. In the quiet, you find out who you actually are.

That’s the part they can’t take from you.”

Addiction is a nightmare. Congratulations on sobriety to Hunter (and anyone else on that journey).

feel whatever you want about the guy but that’s an amazing achievement for anyone

he’s doing this as his father fights cancer and the entire Republican party is still coming after him just for being joes son. 💔

    4. Huge. Think about how many people who shit on his have substance problems. The real reason they hate him

    5. He’s such a vibe/attractive man for so many reasons and I love this for him. Also love his clap backs at any and all repedolicans

    6. I’m happy to see this, and I’m even happier I’ve gotten to witness what a wicked sense of humor and social media presence this guy has. 🤣

    7. Mess life and I’m not a fan but kudos to anyone trying to make positive changes, be a better person, using creativity as an outlet. The world could use more sober dudes picking up color markers

I read this in Carl’s voice from the Dungeon Crawler Carl audiobooks and it fits perfectly.

I’m honestly a little bitter because I truly feel like I’d be able to get better if I had more support and resources like him :/ I’m not saying it’s a necessity, but it makes it easier if you have safety nets. Everyone knows this I guess. I’m tired of being poor and mentally ill, but it feels like there’s no way out. And that makes substances even more appealing.

    10. Good for him.

He is absolutely hysterical. When he responded with Just to be clear “ I was NOT a failed crackhead. I was an extremely accomplished crackhead? Have a great day and Happy 4th!” I was lol.

Congrats, man. I read his book when it came out and he was so open and candid. Much love, homie. Stay strong and sober.

Really appreciate the way he phrased this, because it definitely doesn’t get easier but you can find your peace in the quiet if you’re willing to let it in.

You can say whatever you want about Joe Biden, but you cannot deny the love he has for his children and family. He truly loves Hunter (and Beau) and that always warms my heart how he always defended his sons.

I admire him for owning up to his mistakes, unlike Trump and his spawns.

The vitriol Hunter got from Republicans for being an addict was always so gross to me because their criticism was simply to make fun of him vs being the ones hurt by it. It makes me wonder how many people saw that treatment and stayed silent about their own addictions.

Congratulations to everyone staying sober, one day at a time – sometimes a minute at a time. I can offer no deeper respect to anyone than I will to a person who is in recovery❤️

    17. Off-topic, but some of that art would low-key look amazing on a Magic card. Hunter Biden SLD when???

Happy for him. It’s a hard battle and one you have to fight every day for the rest of your life. But it is worth it. Life is much better without struggling through active addiction. It’s not easy, bu it’s worth it. Congrats, Hunter there’s a lot of us that are proud of you.

I went to AA with a friend last year, it was very inspiring. One of the most memorable moments was someone speaking about how, for whatever reason, at seven years people tend to get back into using again. That said, I wish him the best and hope he maintains his sobriety.

That’s amazing to hear! Hunter seems like a great dude. I continue to wish him well.

    21. Wow. Spot-on. Your brain becomes less and less your enemy and you start to recognize yourself.

I hit 11 years clean last November. Everyone was there to talk about how awful I was doing while I was using, but there are maybe 3 people who will congratulate me when I mention it.
It goes to show, you have to get yourself together for you and for no one else.

    23. He is a magnificent troll, on top of everything else. Like truly funny. Good for him.

      > In the quiet you find out who you really are

In the case of Hunter Biden a menace on Twitter apparently. 😅

Anyhow, big respect for his accomplishment.

Not a big Joe Biden fan, but I really like Hunter. This is a wholesome arc

Congratulations to him! It’s enraging how much Republicans made fun of his addiciton but in their usual a-hole way, rather than try to use somthing like his recovery as a positive thing to help others, they use it as a way to make fun of people like him who are struggling. We dont’ talk enough about how trauma leads to addition and he had plenty of it.
