    1. I love this. There is a visible point he stops even trying to sing. Awesome.

This is incredibly rude. Imagine paying for a concert ticket and the person you’re watching is only half doing his job because he’s got the TV on. I know that he loves football, and he has his laddy lad lad personality, but this isn’t funny.

the england v mexico game was soo good. i usually stop watching a bit to do chores but i was glued to my screen the entire time. but id def not be watching the game while fans paid a lot of money (we all know how expensive concerts are) to watch me perform…. he could have watched afterwards

    4. This sucks. I’m a local musician in my city, and if I did something like this on a gig that people paid to see me at I (very rightfully) wouldn’t get paid.

    5. fakeblondeponytail on

Is he giving them a refund? As someone who hates football culture walking into this after paying for a gig, would be beyond strange???

this is so shitty but people will eat this up and be like “omg this sooo relatable he cares about sports”. Same when One Direction went on tour and people were falling in love with some of them eating sandwiches during the concert because “omg they’re hungry so relatable” Like no sir your tickets were $300 a piece fucking perform lol

    7. MostlyCautious on

This is disrespectful. Imagine giving a presentation at the office to a client whilst watching football lol

I was there, nobody noticed him watching until bigger moments, he talked to the crowd multiple times and thanked them for being there.

Edit: also I’m still tired from the show, it was incredible and I’m not even the most involved fan and I don’t care to argue so leave negative opinions elsewhere life isn’t that deep

    9. uttermagpie on

might be a bitch in me, but do it on your leisure time, people paid their hard earned-money to see you perform

    10. I mean you don’t got to a louise tomlinson concert for his singing. actually why does anyone go to a louise tomlinson concert?

    11. Icy-Marionberry-4143 on

unfortunately i cannot talk shit because i’ve been glued to my phone for the last few weeks to watch the world cup

    12. He has and will never take his job seriously- this video is just another reminder of this

    13. punishedpuppi on

as a former 1d girlie, louis has always been obsessed with soccer,
lol to the comments dismay the people who are big fans of louis now are very dedicated & loyal, so i imagine they really just find this endearing

Where he went wrong was doing this in US. Americans just don’t get it

    15. Theresanrrrrrr on

If you are a Louis Tomlinson fan, you would know that Lou is 50% singer and 50% football fan. That is all! We love him that way!

    16. owliesowlies on

Well I hope those fans enjoyed getting a unique expierence 😬 which is the only way I can imagine anyone being ok with this 😕

    17. Clara_Geissler on

thia is honeslty so rude and horrible to see. he doesnt even care to be there.

    18. Successful_Buffalo_6 on

I promise you not one of his fans cared. He could stand up on stage silently smoking cigarettes for an hour and a half and his fans would demand an encore. They do not care about that man’s creative output at all.

    19. Wildly unprofessional. He’s not talented though so there’s probably no difference in performance.

    20. summer_friends on

You can bet a majority of the fans were doing the same thing at the concert. That’s just what happens when your country plays a big match at the same time as a concert. Or wedding or any other event tbh

    21. echoesandripples on

cultural differences are really weird because in south america I feel like everyone would expect the concert to have a screen playing the game tbh (i imagine you’re not allowed to, however)

    22. Am I crazy or does this not seem as bad as the comments are making. I get its unprofessional but its once every 4 years and the crowd seems fine with it. It was a tense game and a lot of people were likely checking the score constantly.

Like are we clutching pearls for this?

    23. If you are a fan of Louis, you’d know how much he loves soccer. So if you’re upset by this there’s a chance you’d likely never have a chance to be upset at this in person at his show cause you wouldn’t be there in the first place lmfao

    24. His commitment to football is hilarious. It’s meme status if you’re a fan. He brought a whole TV and generator to Glasto as a fan, and I expected people to be mad about the disrespect to the peformers but maybe it was between sets? It was all over the news and lauded.

So I see how people would see this as rude because if it was Timberlake or Beyonce I would be flabbergasted. But if there’s a match this guy is gonna watch it, no matter what!

    25. Alone-Lab7615 on

This is like my pilot last night who was watching while we flew then came out cheering when we landed lmao

    26. Serious_Tax_4212 on

This view is a bit deceptive – I was there and he had the match playing on screens for the audience too. He said “welcome to the Louis Tomlinson England Watch Party!” and had us cheer for which side we were rooting for, etc. I thought it was super fun and my friend and I enjoyed the show. The crowd seemed into it though of course I can’t speak for everyone. But no need for internet strangers to be mad on my behalf!

    27. LongjumpingStrategy6 on

Bro was mentally in the stadium the entire show. The concert literally became an England watch party.

    28. moosegoose90 on

Why can’t he rewind later and watch it then? He has a job. We have jobs. Do it

    29. Ew my ex used to do this at restaurants with his phone. I would be so triggered lol
