Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have another relationship status update to share with everyone, if you’re interested. In 2023, a year after the Oscars slap heard round the world, Jada told Hoda Kotb that, actually, she and Will had been separated since 2016. This was despite the fact that they continued to refer to one another as “husband” and “wife” publicly (see again: the Oscars slap). Now, we are hearing that Jada moved back in with Will two years ago.
According to People, an insider said that Will and Jada have been living together again for the past two years. “They are happy and love each other and are, as ever, committed to supporting each other,” the source claimed. As long as they’re happy, I’m happy for them.
The Smiths have been married since 1997, and for the past several years, their relationship has been on a slightly confusing, possibly bumpy road. After Jada told Kotb that she and Will had been informally “divorced” since 2016, another source told People that the couple was “still together,” just living in separate homes. I could not even begin to guess what’s coming next for these two in their relationship, but I’m glad they always follow their hearts.
