      They need to shut down ALL “troubled teen institutions”, not just this one. They need to be outlawed. But this is a win, for sure.

      Good for her. 
      My ex husband was sent to one of those teen behavioral “schools” that wasn’t even one of places that kidnaps you in the middle of the night or was even in the remote wilderness, and still 
      the stories he’s told me were horrific. Those places prey on kids, I hope they all close.

      I’ll never understand how people think giving children trauma is going to make them better behaved. These places are as stupid and cruel as they are pointless.

      I hope this will be the first one of all of them to be shout down. Those places are like jails for teens where “tutors” are allowed to harras and humiliate teens. This is the real opposite of education. Im so glad that Paris fought for this cause

      Glad to see it. I read her memoir recently and the depiction of this place was truly chilling.

      This is objectively fantastic news and, while acknowledging Paris has been far from a perfect ally and/or blatantly hurtful toward certain social groups, this is undeniably a circumstance where a celebrity used their platform for good.

      I hope this is one of many until they are all gone.

      This is a great start! They need to shut down all of these schools. A girl in my grade was kidnapped and forcibly sent to one of these schools where she was raped and tortured. She was never the same.

      There is a lot to legitimately criticize Paris Hilton for but this will never be one of them. It’s so rare to see celebrities take on issues at the policy level instead of doing “charity” or other purely emotional but not pragmatic endeavours. This is incredible a good on her and the Utah government, this is actually how you protect young people.
