      I love a strongly worded letter….

If this were the other party, a republican governor would be on every news show going scorched earth to get power back.

I liked him very much when he was a candidate for President in 2024! I hope he runs again soon!

Mitch’s staffers and Republican congress and senate members, trying to figure their way out of this increasingly thinning charade.

We do not have a functioning legislative branch and have not for an alarmingly long time now

dude has been essentially walking around the capitol with late stage dementia for months.

he is either dead or brain dead.

    6. Mitch’s response: beeep….beeep…..beeep…beep.

Translated to English: If I’d have been giving people what they deserved my party wouldn’t have a Supreme Court majority.

It’s only fitting that McConnell gets put on hold like Merrick Garland’s SCOTUS nomination. That said, Kentuckians definitely deserve an actual update

    8. I expect nothing less from the man who refused to confirm a Supreme Court pick. If he makes it until Aug his seat remains empty until the midterms. Even in (near?) death he’s an asshole.

*ALL* Americans deserve a functional Congress. This apathy is disgusting.

They should just go to the hospital to confirm if he’s alive. These gop liars won’t actually tell anyone the truth.

I would feel that if Scott Jennings can have a conversation with Mitch McConnell, that certainly the governor of Kentucky would be able to. He has a responsibility as he mentions to all Kentuckians.

oh no a sternly worded polite letter! quick get the man some pearls to clutch in case the late Mitch doesn’t reply

    13. He should’ve CYA’d it by saying “if we don’t get an update by xx date, we will consider the position vacant”.

Am I crazy to think that the governor of the state must know the status of his health and that he’s just playing politician for show?

    15. OptimisticSkeleton on

What’s with this asking politely bullshit? Throw someone’s ass in jail until they produce evidence of Mitch McConnell and his current health.

    16. A US Senator or Representative should always be open about their health – remember their job is to represent the people — if you are hospitalized, you are failing your oath of office.

Call their bluff and “start to make plans” for a special election.

That guy is brain dead… GOP are afraid to loose their last remaining strong holds

I thought he was fine? Didn’t I just see a picture of him holding up a copy of the Washington Post like a kidnap victim?

    20. Kinda wild. If I missed work for 3-4 weeks I would be fired. And I sure as hell wouldn’t be getting my healthcare covered.
