Hollywood trying to block out anyone who isn’t rich in connections is gross, greedy, nepotistic, and robbing the public of properly funded raw artistry.

YES GURL. Now we need to do our Reddit duties and hype this woman up!! The award circuit will likely cost her a fortune, right? We need to elevate her!

My petty ass hopes she wins and leaves HBO out of her acceptance speech.

Her performance was phenomenal! I bawled my eyes out when she passed. Very well deserved 🫡

I didn’t know this was possible. She was great; good for her!!

    7. “Self-submitted herself” the Department of Redundancy Department would like a word.

    8. This doesn’t surprise me at all because when you look at the interviews the heads of this show gave this year it becomes a little clear it’s essentially a vanity project that’s supposed to highlight how brilliant Noah Wyle is at acting and writing, how great Gemmill is at developing a consistent story, and that’s about it. Everyone else is set dressing to make these two guys shine, and that’s how much respect they’ll show to all parts involved on making their vision happen (except, maybe, for Katherine LaNasa, it seems like she’s the one other person in this show they respect, everyone else is disposable).

I’m sure they would have submitted her for consideration if Andrew Hube— wait sorry, Noah Wyle – advocated for her. Almost got my creepy fucks with the same face confused.

The Pitt got way too many acting nominations, some absolutely baffling choices, but this is not one of them! Very well deserved.

Pretty sure if I submitted myself claiming to have been in The Pitt, I would’ve blindly been nominated…

    11. I’m so petty because, while I’ve not watched one single solitary episode of The Pitt, I hope she wins because of this 🤣

haven’t watched this show but she was fucking great in What Keeps You Alive, a riveting survivor-thriller I watched during lockdown. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see more of her

(and I need more people to talk about it with, there’s barely anyone else out there)

“You have to fight for yourself. You have to believe in your work, and you can’t expect other people to do that for you.”

This is true across industries. If you want to be recognized for your work, you can’t wait for someone to champion you.

This is why I dont watch anymore. Its so bought and paid for and feels like they just rotate the same 10 shows.

Good for her. It should be vote for any performance you actually like then they can cut it down to 5.

Proof that no matter what, women have to fight to be taken seriously in any workplace.

Legit this is why I decided to stop pursuing acting. I had agents, I had people! But I didn’t have the time and energy to throw myself in front of everyone on all the socials all day, every day. Good for her!

    17. I was a nurse for a few years of my career and she actually reminded me of a palliative patient I had, she deserves it.
