Zoe starred in Marco’s directorial debut, The Absence of Eden (2023). But working together wasn’t always easy. She admitted it was “extremely challenging” as their creative styles clashed.
She recalled: “He was like, ‘I don’t like the way you’re talking to me when we’re rehearsing…’ I would tell him, ‘I keep telling you to pick me up!'”
But they’ve figured it out. “We’ve figured out so many ways of how to be together,” she said. “We work together at life. We work together with our family. Now, we work together in art”.
A LOVE THAT KEEPS GROWING
Marco calls Zoe “one of the best actors of her generation” and says he’s learning from her every day. Zoe says being with Marco has allowed her to lower her guard and feel at peace.
