Paige Niemann (known for her years long controversial impersonation of Ariana Grande), disclosed a DM Ariana sent her in her new documentary ‘Turning The Paige’

Could someone explain why this impression was controversial? I know nothing about this person, but that message from Ari was very kind and genuine.

This reminds of that ItsJustAshley who is trying to look like Taylor Swift every day.

Honestly, that was an incredibly kind and respectful message Ari sent to her.

I mean, as someone who likes to sometimes comment on celebrities’ lives, I should be the last to comment about this sort of thing lmao, but physical impersonators are just so odd to me. Like, if I were Ariana, Taylor, etc., I would not be flattered; I would be creeped out.

If I were the impersonators’ family, I would wonder where things went so wrong that they have to pretend to be someone else for attention rather than their own selves. It would all be quite disconcerting.

That’s an incredibly gentle and kind message from Ariana to someone who it would have been easy for her to be annoyed or revolted by.

FYI Paige has been doing nudes on OF dressed in her Ariana hair and makeup. I wonder if Ariana sent that message before or after those started. I can’t imagine this level of copycat that Paige and Ashley (The Taylor Swift impersonator) are at where it takes over their whole life. But if you look at Ariana Grande herself, you can see that she goes to great lengths to copy the style, makeup, hair, facial features, posing, and aesthetics of her own idol, Audrey Hepburn, so it’s just a cycle.
