    1. I don’t think non Brits will understand that you can stick your Grammys etc as the are nothing compared to getting a Blue Peter badge

    2. If you grew up in Britain knowing how impactful this kids tv show was, when you are a young one. This is huge!!!!

Receiving this is honestly the highest honour.
Forget the awards for adults. That’s telling others how much better you are than them. This isn’t competitive. It’s your loving parents telling you that you’re “good enough” and “doing the right thing” kind of feeling.

My guess is it’s equivalent to mr rogers or elmo telling you you’re an inspirational person who has been kind.

Even a normal blue peter badge is quite uncommon and impressive thing to wear proudly but that was mainly for just being on the show.

The gold badge. One can only dream of achieving that. Money can’t buy that recognition of who you are on the inside.

    4. Seriously a Gold Blue Peter badge is a massive achievement for a Brit. Not many people get them. It’s a very special thing.

    5. As a US based RuPaul’s Drag Race fanatic who watches the UK version…years of needed clarity has been brought to me with this post (*RU-Peter Badges…IYKYK*)
